A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Best Philly I've ever ate in my life. The brisket was on point. Soup was AMAZING as well..."
"Brisket tray and catfish dinner. My brisket was delicious the first piece was juicy and tender and the second a little drier but just as good. The catfish was delicious. I finally got to try the corn casserole which was yummy as was the Mac n cheese and beans. This was our 2nd time since moving to TN, We will definitely go back!"
"First time. Clean, friendly service. Excellent brisket, good bbq chicken, good bbq pork, falling off the bone ribs. All the meat could have used a little more smoke in the flavor but it was all tender and moist. I had the Collinwood Mac Attack and it was delightfully creamy and a huge serving. Hubby had the sampler platter and will be eating on that for another full meal-large portions of each meat."
"Fantastic place. Great food. A real find! Don’t let the unassuming appearance outside throw you off. Clean but no antiseptic smell when you walk in. Great lighting. Homey feel. Country southern music set at to a nice level to where you can actually hear each other talk and hold a conversation. Friendly owners and staff. Felt very welcome. Professional. Not expensive! Owners, a husband and wife team, prepare just about everything from scratch. Very fresh, top quality ingredients and nice presentation of the dishes. But remember it’s a simple, straightforward kind of place with no pretense. This restaurant uses real stainless and real plates which we prefer. Unfortunately too many reasonably priced restaurants in the USA use throw away plastic. We had the smoked chicken salad with campfire dressing. Beautiful arrangement on the plate. Delicious boneless smoked chicken that the owner smokes himself, served on a bed of very fresh salad greens with corn, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and a light amount of cheese that had been melted on top of the smoked chicken. Very tasty custom made “campfire” dressing. Sides of yummy baked beans (her mother’s recipe) and macaroni and cheese. For dessert we tried the 5 spice cake with orange infused icing (real orange zest). Homemade! The cake was delicious; made on site; not icy cold or stale like many restaurants. Excellent iced tea. Treat yourself and go! And very conveniently located a short distance from the Natchez Trace Parkway."
"Every time I’m around, I never miss the chance to have a GREAT brisket here — I love it! This time I got one to go. The staff were super kind, friendly, and professional"
"The brisket here was SO good!! Mac n cheese.... good. Food came fairly fast... server was nice. Locals say this place never disappoints."
"WOW what an *incredible* experience! I wish I could give 10 stars! The food was SO. GOOD. My husband and I are still talking about it an hour later lol He got the smashed burger and I got the BLT! The sidewinder fries were STELLAR, and the baked beans were also great! Definitely recommend trying their fry sauce—yum! Even my picky toddler scarfed down baked beans, grilled cheese, fries, chips & queso! Our server was just the sweetest and made sure our drinks stayed refilled (the Dr Pepper was fresh and so good. You can tell they clean their drink machines, which is rare to find.). It was clean and inviting inside. We live 30 minutes away, but we can’t wait to come back!!"
"Hands down the best burger and fries I’ve ever ate. The macaroni is phenomenal. I would eat here everyday if it was possible. Super family friendly, with lots of choices for kids. A white board is given to the kids to play on while waiting for food. The smash burgers are delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing with both tables and booths available. A+ restaurant"
